Terake is a Reggio inspired private kindergarten located near the centre of Tartu.
It was founded in 2008 by the Tartu Private Education NGO and operates in close collaboration with Tartu Erakool (Tartu Private School) and HuviTera (hobby school) which are both located in the same building.
Partners of the kindergarten include Tartu City Council and the University of Tartu. Terake is a member of Tartu University’s Network of Innovation Schools and provides traineeship opportunities for teacher education students.
There are currently six different groups in Terake: one international English-speaking group and five Estonian-speaking groups, 110 children in total.
