Project-based learning

Learning activities are organised through long-term projects covering the subjects from the child’s closest surroundings.

Projects usually include research and art activities and themes can vary from polar bears to jam making.

We focus on the process, not so much on the results.

Project example, “Sunflowers”

To give a better understanding of how our projects work we put together an overview of one of our recent art projects, called “Sunflowers”.

1. Getting to know sunflowers

We went outdoors to explore sunflowers more closely.

2. Exploring art techniques

Children learned about and tested different art techniques to express their vision of sunflowers.

Painting on an easel

Children learned how to paint on an easel.

4. Sharing our work with others

Children set up an art exhibition for parents.
